We know that our\u00a0shoppers really look forward\u00a0to the faire and for many of the\u00a0antiques vendors, Alameda\u00a0Point has become the most\u00a0important show at which\u00a0they sell. In fact, many of our\u00a0vendors set up exclusively at\u00a0Alameda Point. Because of the importance of our event to\u00a0so many people it is very upsetting to have the show rained\u00a0out as occurred last month. (Be aware however that even if it\u00a0rains, the monthly Estate Auction at Michaans Auctions still\u00a0commences at 10:00 a.m. and the Annex Auction Gallery\u00a0will still be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for a preview\u00a0of the Annex Auction that will be held on the following\u00a0Tuesday and Wednesday).<\/p>\n<p>More often than not, on the following Sunday it is\u00a0not raining. Last month the following Sunday (November\u00a014th) had absolutely glorious weather. All day long I found\u00a0myself asking, \u201cWhy couldn\u2019t we have had this weather last\u00a0Sunday?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Well, we won\u2019t let that happen to us again! We are\u00a0establishing a new Rollover Show Date Policy. If a show is\u00a0rained out, we will automatically schedule a make-up show\u00a0for the following Sunday, the second Sunday of the month.\u00a0Look for your favorite dealers in their regular spots, as\u00a0most of them will be there. We give our dealers a rain check\u00a0credit so they do not lose their booth rent on a rainy day, it\u00a0is applied to any future show of their choosing or refunded\u00a0upon request.<\/p>\n<p>The creation of a Rollover Date is very important to our\u00a0business at Antiques By The Bay since we incur the same\u00a0expenses all month long and perform almost a complete\u00a0pre-show set up even if rain is predicted. This new policy\u00a0will allow us the opportunity to break even for the month\u00a0instead of suffering a major loss.\u00a0Rollover Date information will be prominently posted\u00a0on our website on the day following a rained out show. As\u00a0well, the date will be announced on our recorded information\u00a0line at 510-522-7500. And you can sign up on our website to\u00a0receive email alerts and updates about the show along with\u00a0reminders of upcoming shows and any Rollover Dates.<\/p>\n<p>SO IF IT RAINS, WE HOPE TO SEE YOU ON THE 2ND\u00a0SUNDAY OF THE MONTH!<\/p>\n<p>If it rains on the 2nd Sunday we will NOT have another\u00a0rollover for that month.
