PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU! WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT DISPLAY OR SELL ANYTHING WITH IVORY OR ANIMAL PARTS! Dear Antique Faire Enthusiasts, The Wet Weather Continues – Once again, on Sunday March 6 we were subjected to another in the seemingly endless series of rainstorms targeting the 1st Sunday of the month. The big difference this time was the inaugural event of our new Rainout Rollover Policy. All the forecasts were predicting solid rain throughout Sunday, so on Saturday morning March 5th, I cancelled Sunday’s Antique Faire and scheduled the makeup event for the following Sunday, March 13. Our makeup show was a resounding success even though there were predictions of rain (again!) late in the day, and the weather was somewhat chilly and cloudy. Over... Continue reading

Welcome to the Alameda Point Antiques Faire Happy New Year to All! Our string of bad weather events continued on Sunday, January 2. Fortunately it was not a rainout as the rain stopped at 10:00am and most of the dealers and buyers in attendance who were waiting for the predicted break in the weather were rewarded with sunny skies. All of us at Antiques by the Bay wish to express our gratitude for the continued support from our Faire shoppers, as well as the hundreds of vendors of fine antiques and collectibles at the Point. As you can see our magazine, The Point, has now taken on a new format. This new format will be easier to tote around as you... Continue reading

What’s New at the Faire: “Rain-Outs, Second Chances”

December 5, 2010
By

We are happy to welcome all of our dedicated Antiques Faire shoppers and dealers to our December 2010 Faire, which is our 148th show! We were all very disappointed on November 7th to have our monthly event completely rained out. We know that our shoppers really look forward to the faire and for many of the antiques vendors, Alameda Point has become the most important show at which they sell. In fact, many of our vendors set up exclusively at Alameda Point. Because of the importance of our event to so many people it is very upsetting to have the show rained out as occurred last month. (Be aware however that even if it rains, the... Continue reading

Welcome

Welcome to the Alameda Point Antiques Faire. Located on the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay, Alameda Point was formerly the Alameda Naval Air Station. With its stunning panoramic views of the San Francisco skyline, the Bay Bridge, Marin County, the Oakland Port facility, and the sparkling waters of San Francisco Bay, the old aircraft runways provide an ideal site for what is certainly the most scenic antique show in the world. Now in its 12th year of operations this event, held on the 1st Sunday every month is host to over 10,000 antique buyers who converge here to search over 800 antique dealer booths for the widest array...
