May's featured dealers, Erika Friend and Sandy Bryan of the Tattered House from Roseville, California's booth was first noticed when we were shooting our commercial for Eye on the Bay for a CBS spot which aired this past month. We were hurriedly scouring for French antiques on a budget and stopped by their regular booth space (J23). We were attracted to some lovely painted white French chairs, that we ended up reluctantly passing on. We were looking for items to create a French cafe look and although we didn't actually use the footage we shot in their booth in the final, we couldn't resist taking photos of their delectable decor. Everything in their booth... Continue reading

Dear Antique Faire Enthusiasts, The Wet Weather Continues – Once again, on Sunday March 6 we were subjected to another in the seemingly endless series of rainstorms targeting the 1st Sunday of the month. The big difference this time was the inaugural event of our new Rainout Rollover Policy. All the forecasts were predicting solid rain throughout Sunday, so on Saturday morning March 5th, I cancelled Sunday’s Antique Faire and scheduled the makeup event for the following Sunday, March 13. Our makeup show was a resounding success even though there were predictions of rain (again!) late in the day, and the weather was somewhat chilly and cloudy. Over... Continue reading

Today, I'm wearing a 50's three strand vintage necklace with multi-colored green beads found at the Point that two dealers sold to me for a song. Talk about the luck of the Irish...Happy St. Patrick's Day Vintage Lovers. I took this photo with my Hipstamatic. The vintage necklace was found at the Alameda Point Antiques Faire this year and I told the dealers I would wear it for St. Patrick's... Continue reading
