WW2 40's Beauty

Alameda Point celebrates stars and stripes with history as a former naval air station. It was de-commissioned in 1997. That’s when we started producing our outdoor monthly antiques faire on the jet runways. From 1949 to 1953, the Navy based the Lockheed R6V Constitution—the largest airplane ever at NAS Alameda. After the base closed, the USS Hornet became a museum ship and is a popular attraction for Alameda Point today. Alameda’s 4th of July parade brings thousands of patriotic Americans to the hometown spectacle every year. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14 as Flag Day. In honor of... Continue reading

Vintage vanity at The Alameda Point Antiques Faire by Pretty N Chic furniture, painted by Kimberly Burbine

Films of the Hollywood “golden era” are often filled with images of a glamorous starlet primping for an evening out on the town, in front of a stunning & dreamy vanity table. These tables went out of fashion in recent decades, but are now making a big comeback. Sure, you don’t actually need one — not in the way you need a bed, a couch, or a closet full of vintage shoes. Shoppers with wine barrels as a backdrop

The fall 2013 edition of the semi-annual Alameda Point Vintage Fashion Faire was a Halloween style bash lined with barrels of wine. The event was held for the first time at Rock Wall Wine Company on Friday night, October 18 & Saturday, October 19th.  It was the biggest Vintage Fashion Faire yet with more dealers and close to 1,000 attendees. The crowds flocked in to shop for glamorous vintage, jewelry, men’s suits and more. They bought VFF fashion tote bags and filled them with quality vintage clothing from every decade. Hollyce Jeffries made the spooky Halloween decorations and set the vibe with owls, cats, witches and a giant skeleton named... Continue reading

We dream of spring.....floaty dresses, cardigans, colour and roses. We are looking forward to the many events this spring starting with our vintage extravaganza at the O' Club.
